I've heard so many conflicting things on whether or not you can run both cores on FEAR. What is the final ruling on this?

Sorry man, I haven't heard anywhere that you can mutli-thread FEAR.

I would be happy if there was just a 64-bit version of FEAR. I mean, we are in year 2 (going on 3) of 64-bit computing, and still hardly any 64-bit games on the market?!

We probably wont see any till Vista comes out, 64xPro is looking like Millineum, although not as buggy.

Clear,
I'm pretty sure its not, on another board I frequent I see a few guys with the x2's getting the same performance as fx55's and san diego 3700's. You may want to go over to http://www.fearfans.com and ask there. The Devs watch the board and there are alot of the beta testers there.

Problem is Drivers with XP64, theres just no 3rd party support for it. Where as ME was just plain buggy, and Microsoft never fixed any of it. They treated it like it was there red headed step child! I cant wait for Vista, I really want to see my Athlon 64 to be able to really shine like it should.

Well I acutally ran a non-scientific test by running the test settings and compared the results.
Specs:
X2 3800+
AGP 6800GT w/ Beta 81.85
2X512 Crucial Ballistix

Core 0 (Core 1 disabled)
FPS
Min:21
Avg:57
Max:118

Both cores
FPS
Min:28
Avg:62
Max:124

It seems that even if it isn't multithreaded it does seem to preffer two cores as it was much smoother gameplay. I'll try and get some screen shots and the % break down later.
