So, I recieve everything on the 15th, opened the boxes and was amazed at how well everything was packed, and how damn cool the speaker boxes looked. Anyhow, on the 16th I took everything up to my friends house (200 miles away mind you) and we put it all together. Took me awhile to get back into soldering (its only been 3 years), but I did alright, the second crossover looks better of course. Oh, and on the first one, I forgot to shave the enamal off of L1 so I had to solder the very tip to the rest of the connection, looks silly but I didn't have a solder sucker and wasn't going to do anything I was unsure of. So I drive 200 miles back home (during which I am worrying whether or not the crossover's have fallen apart during my driving), and this morning I hook them up to the Klipsch Promedia amp and I must say, these things sound absolutely fabulous. They sound so dammed good, even better because I built them.

Now all I have to do is purchase a nice (cheap onkyo) reciever in a few weeks, sell my promedias, and figure out where I am going to place them for the long term (way too big to fit on my desk... right now at least).

Thank you all for your recommending these to me, these sound just fantastic. I think I'll be building a sub next, then some rears, and a nice center. Felt good to build them. Thanks again!
 
Are these the BR-1s? If so, they're a good kit, I built them about 2 years ago.
 
Yes they are, outstanding kit. I love them to death.
 
Glad to hear you liked them. If later down the road you decide you need speaker stands the high mass stands PE sells are pretty good. They are heavy and have a neutral crinkle paint. The middle column is also open at the top so you can put sand in. I bought the 24" ones on a Deal-Of-The-Day....just been trying to find a permanent resident to sit on top :D
