Okay, I am using my friends monitor, Daytek 963DF, and sometimes it makes this reeeally high pitched squeeling noise. Its not the refresh rate being too high because I'll be at 1280x1024 @ 60hz and it will be fine, then I'll play a game (counter-strike) 640x480 @ 85hz and then go back to the desktop and it will whine and squeel. I have installed monitor drivers, and have used different video cards and have reformatted multiple times but it comes back time and time again. Sometimes it does it in CS too. Its so annoying, anyone know the problem or is the monitor just bad? lol
 
That would be the CRT monitor getting ready to die. Time to get a new one.
