day planer/calendar program???

im looking for some kinda program... (ive seached but i wanna know what other people use... if they use one) ... that reminds me of upcoming dates and stuff... almost like what a pda would do... but for a normal desktop... something that has popups to remind me of bills, birthdays, what days i work and stuff
