Ok so a friend of mine spilled milk near to her labtop and it got into the hard drive bay and damaged the connectors for the HD.

So the data is still in the HD but the connectors dont work...

Is there a place you can send the HD to to get the data off of it?

depending on what exactly is fried, if its just the controller board then try to buy an identical hard drive and replace the board

although im not sure lappy drives have them

otherwise have fun paying $$$ for your data

well, if u really wanna just send it away, and if your comfortable sending it away, i found this place through my computer teacher, and also cuz its in my area. if u look at their website, they are pretty pro, and i think they work with alot of big companies too, but just like ^^^^^^ said, its very expensive to retrieve data. so the place is www.datamechanix.com . and im not really sure where you are, but on the site it says they do world-wide service.
