OK heres the problem, I dont know how dont know why but some how my main storage drive (IDE 300 gig WD) lost all its data. Now I know the data is there, its just no longer being recognized as an NTFS partioned drive....

I used a program called "recover my files" and it did find alot of the stuff on the drive. I tried to copy as much as I could off but I only had 2 120 gigs to back it up too. I would like to get it all back, and was wondering if there are any programs out there that could just recover the partions on that disk?

recreate that hard drive to work again?

any suggestions?

The Ultimate Boot CD has quite a few recovery tools. If the drive has a mechanical or logic problem that makes it totally inaccessible, a professional data recovery service is your only choice. Seagate DRS will look at the drive for free and tell you what can be recovered, if anything.

I'm not sure how to explain this, but it randomly happened twice when i booted my computer up w/ a windows xp pro cd in it. Somehow it just recognized a problem w/ the drive and restored it... I guess.. give it a try? i'm sure someone here can explain what happened..

on the other hand, I believe I use file scavenger.. It's worked perfectly for me, twice... when I ran into these problems.
