I've got a friend of mine whos wife's HDD crashed a few weeks ago and will not post on any machine I've tried. There is a very apparent clicking noise on boot which I've been told my several people is not a good sign and is not recommended to be powered on at all.

It's a 40GB drive and all I need is to grab \My Pictures from My Documents. I've been looking around for a few days now for places around the area that will recover what little data we need from this drive, for a reasonable price. From the quotes I'm getting I'm seeing an average of ~750$ total to recover this drive...

If anyone has any similar experience in the Seattle area and would care to share their experience with me it would be greatly appreciated. Friend of mine doesn't want to go over 500$ to recover pictures, so that would be my biggest concern.
