i can no longer boot ino winxp pro

when i try and boot into it, i get a message that im missing files
when i try and repair the OS, it says that it can not copy certain files

what i am looking for is a tool that will allow me copy the my documents directory to my 2ndary sata drive that doesnt require booting into windows that has a graphical interface

i have two folders that i want to copy actually with the 2nd one being a folder called "to be named" which was on the desktop and i dont know where that gets stored and then i can ditch the drive for a new one. my other computer in the house only has ide ports so i cant remove this sata drive and put it as a slave for my other computer

any suggestions?
