I was wondering if anyone could shed a little light on unbuffered vs registered ecc memory.
So I've read up about how they both work and what the differences are as far as structure and stuff but I've been wondering if there is any difference in data integrity between the two types of ecc memory.
Are the error correcting abilities exactly the same between the two types? Does one type degrade faster than the other.
From my reading it seemed like registered might be superior? Also, I know this is a lame argument but intuitively, "unbuffered" just doesn't sound as safe as "registered".
