Anyone else get an advertisement through steam showing off this new game?

It looks fun. Part of me wants to buy it to try it... But the other part wants me to download it, try it, see if I like it, then buy it.

What are your thoughts/opinions on this?

That game that was released like a year ago? Yeah it's pretty fun, I liked it. Kind of a Pikmin meets Robotron meets an RTS type deal.

I played the game a bunch- borrowed it from a friend. I'm going to get it through steam when its up. Its cheaper then getting the boxed version.

There is alot of player released maps and mods already if you check out the dariwinia homepages forums.

I really enjoyed it when it was released. The graphics were very basic, but the gameplay was pretty darn interesting and different :).

Its an interesting game but introversion would have been better off making a sequel to Uplink.

Loved that game, still play it at work. I am very interested in Darwinia though.

Here is there homepage for anybody interested: Darwinia

I saw the previews. I'm a glass half empty sort of guy (hey, so was Nietzsche) and I have to say this game doesn't look anywhere near close to being worth $19. I'd rather play that dystopia mod or waste time with that Garry's mod thing.

Oh and this really caught my interest the other day http://www.hidden-source.com/ it's a shame because this looks much more instesting than Darwinia yet it will be overshadowed because of hype/paid advertising

What's so special about that game?

Darwinia's a fun little game. It draws you in with it's charm and odd visual style and hooks you with it's simple yet fun gameplay. What specific aspect of the game is giving you a negative vibe?

That's what makes it great IMO. Once I watched the trailer I knew I was getting it.
