I finally got tricked into DLing and installing the Windows Genuine Advantage tool.. I have a legit install, so its not a big deal, but this thing really feels like a piece of spyware...

Any details on how much resources this thing takes up?

It doens't take any resources at all on my computer since it doesn't run as a process. It just downloaded, installed, authenticated, and I've never heard from it again.

There are ways to disable it, it wouldn't stop bugging us on my sister's computer so I flipped it off. If you have a legal copy it is a non-issue.
