So.... You'd be willing to sacrifice overall loop flow and, thus, performance simply to lower the water temperature by a fraction of a degree before it enters your GPU block? GPUs are not nearly as temperature bound as CPUs are so, even if that extra rad did lower your GPU temps by a degree or two, it would make no difference in the function and/or overclockability of your video card. The reduced overall flow, however, would cause both your CPU and GPU block not to perform as well. Due to water's high thermal capacity, the coolant temperature in your loop really doesn't change much from block to block. Save yourself the extra $30 and put it toward a 50z or a D5/MCP655--both can be had for about $75.Gh()st said:My X1800 XT runs skin searing hot. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's just I can pick up a MAG for $35, while the DDC is $75. Then I'd either have to do the inlet mod myself, or spend $30 for the plexi top. I've got plenty of space in my Tt Armor.
Maybe a CPU block that's less restricitve?

DD sells the DDC+ (18w) which, while being more powerful, isn't as quiet as the standard DDC (~8-9w) that is sold by Swiftech as the MCP350.Gh()st said:I'm looking for the quietest pump I can get, so I'll just pick up a DDC rev2 at DD.
