And that gap just keeps getting bigger.Seems Silicon still hasn't taken his dump yet though, almost a week plus of backlogged work though.

QFT - for people on dialup this will pwn your connection for 5 minutes. Having a single connection, and a fast network on the other end, will push almost anything out of the way. Maybe there should be an option to limit bandwidth use. All it has to do is usleep() a certain number of ms between send()s.marty9876 said:Also, from what I can tell the issue is upstream bandwidth. FaH is very rude on the uploads, and with 600+ machines dumping this has a effect on the overall network. Close port 8080 on the router/firewall-- no more uploads. One big A on/off switch.

my cpu is a pentium 4 at 2.8 GHz windows xp.RPhArrow said:Well, now....What platform (cpu, speed, & OS) are you running ? Did you run the GUI or console client, what flags did you run ? What version of the client are you running ? In other words, are you getting the maximum ppd for your available hardware ? But if you are running more than one instance or more than 1 boxen you need a way to keep track of the production. Are you using EMIII, or another monitor ? Have you looked at hardfolding.com for your stats & comparisons ? Is the gap between the [H]orde & the roos getting bigger or smaller ?
OK, that should keep you busy tonight, I'll check back with you tomorrow night

the gui version is a good way to get your feet wet in this. but eventually you will probably want to move to the console version using em3 to moniter it. but take it slow, sit down, relax..and enjoy yourselfboredguyatcomp said:my cpu is a pentium 4 at 2.8 GHz windows xp.
i did the gui client. not sure what you mean by flags? client version i think is 5.03.
