But the ASrock Z270M-ITX/ac and MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC are now listed in Newegg. $123.99 + shipping and $179.99 + shipping, respectively.

The container ship arrived in Hamburg - Germany today. So I will get them next week.
OverclockersUK and Caseking will have a delay because my Kickstarter backers have the highest priority, so I will ship as much as possible before the launch day for the resellers will be there. Today I got the launch date. There will be a count down on my page in the next weeks. Furthermore every subscriber will get an email.[/QUWill

Z270I has 2x M.2That is so weird that they do not show up in a "Form Factor == Mini ITX" filtered search. I guess they are still getting them entered in to the system?

Anyways, how do these compare to the Asus Z270I Strix Gaming?
Anyone foresee any complications fitting any of these with parts in to the A4 case?
I have until 1/31 to exchange my Gigabyte GA-H170N for one of these, if it would be worth it.

It depends on how much you paid for the Gigabyte board. If its a minor difference, I would suggest going for Z270 just for the sake of multiple m.2 ports or thunderbolt \ usb cThat is so weird that they do not show up in a "Form Factor == Mini ITX" filtered search. Yeah. Almost no need for an z270 Asus Impact.new asus z270 mini itx is the dopest of them all
They haven't even announced an impact so there's a good chance there isn't one coming.Yeah. Almost no need for an z270 Asus Impact.

Z270, even though I have zero intention of overclocking in the A4 case.
For that price, I would say just keep the board. The cheapest z270 board is 140 and had no additional features over the H170N-wifi other than overclocking so it's not much of an upgrade anyway.I paid $114 for my Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI, and it is still in the box unopened.
It is tempting to get a refund and/or do the swap for a Z270, even though I have zero intention of overclocking in the A4 case.

Z270I has 2x M.2
Can t see the second M.2 port on the msi Z270I
are you sure?
plus are they enought PCIE line to support 2 M.2 SSD and a gtx1070/1080 ?
The Asus Strix seems really good, but I am affraid that the M.2 shiel might create some issue with the C7 or Noctua.
Anyway, the timing of the case is perfect to complete it with all those new stuff
just missimg that 1080TI![]()

Overheating has only been seen with m.2 ports that sit directly under the GPU, so both ports on the Strix Z270i should be fine.Is it known that M.2s mounted on the back will have issues due to the heat? Or are we just making assumptions?
Are there any front mounted M.2 Skylake motherboards?
The Strix is also missing the extended vrm phases that the impact would have, but that's not a big deal since it doesn't affect overclocking much, and it's all around a bad idea to OC in the A4.I just meant it had an on board amp, which I don't see on the strix
That board is $180. Steep. You can thank RGB for that. I hope ASUS puts out an ITX Z270 that is more reasonably priced.Talk about disappointment when finally Kaby Lake arrived with pricing and Asus Strix Z270I Gaming MB was missing in action
It looks really good though and I guess there are some weeks before we finally will get our cases so Asus got some time to release it.

2 questions - Has anyone come across any good carry bag that would provide enough protection to carry this case in daily?
Secondly, would you guys wait for the 1080ti, settle for a 1080, or get a Titan X? (its for rendering and 3d creation not really gaming.
Bag??? OMG... Just ANY backpack!!! We are talking about the A4 my brother
Titan XP now, or 1080ti Kingpin (or equivalent...) later. I predict thoose will perform almost the same just like old Titan X and 980ti Kinping (or equivalent, again...)
Another option is the good old "wait for vega"...... [insert facepalm here]
My reason for downsizing from my NCase M1 is that the A4 is a lot smaller. When I fly home for break, I have to put my NCase in my suitcase and it's still a bit of a pain to take to LAN parties. The A4 should fit perfectly fine on my backpack.2 questions - Has anyone come across any good carry bag that would provide enough protection to carry this case in daily?
