He's not hurting the economy what so ever, he just switched companies. It might hurt newegg, they're losing a customer (I doubt it would hurt them that much..), but the economy not a chance.
Hurting the economy would more be him saying since they built a warehouse in TN, he wasn't going to buy anymore computer equiptment from anyone, ever.

Boohoo! Just a little while back I ordered some GeiL memory with free ground shipping for my dad's computer. Living less than 45 minutes from their warehouses, we usually will order on Sunday and get it on Thursday. They had to ship from NJ and instead of just doing ground, they did like overnight air or something. We ended up with the stuff on Tuesday. It's simple stuff like this that makes me return to Newegg for every computer part I need!

The only downside to newegg is I have to pay tax. Since I dont live very far (30 minutes?) I usually get things the next day . The wait is still irksome though
