I see lots of people hitting blazing fast speeds with this board. I just got mine, tried to set the FSB to 333 and bumped the vcore a bit, the board locked and gave 3 beeps (bad memory). Do I need to increase the FSB or MCH voltage? Which one? How much?

The 3 beeps is a known memory problem. www.ocforums.com had post on it.

I set my FSB at 333 and it works fine. Using OCZ PC2-5400. can't get it to post higher than 345 though. Fully stable at 333. QX6700

When I used the Corsair PC2-5400, it beeps.

I didn't have that problem with mine. I'm using samsung memory, PC6400 rated at 1.8 volts, set the memory to 1:1 and set the FSB to 333, booted up fine, no voltage adjustments needed. Make sure your rams running 1:1, no reason your 800 speed shouldn't run at 667.

Very true.

Let see.

1 Overclocking is easy with this board.
2. The newest bios is good IF you disable the Watchdog, C1E and EIST.
3. Nitrogen is cold

More cliffs (read till page 42) :

-It's a bitch to recover from a failed OC with the jumper.
-Looks like the fsb ceiling is around 450 MHz so it's better paired to a E4300/E6400/E6600. For a E6300, you are better with another board with higher fsb.
-Bios 2333 is able to reach higher FSB a bit and the newer ones has tighter timings, reducing the FSB a bit. Not sure about latest bios.

I used both 2333 and the latest bios, both good for 400FSB on the 1067 strap 1:1 for 800 DDR2. Memset shows no difference between the two. The newest one has a working HDD led function if you turn off the secondary sata controller, so that is something worthwhile to upgrade to. Great board with easy OC...read the thread linked already

Well guys, so far so good. Running at 400FSB, 2800MHz, 1.28V core, 1.55V MCH, stable so far with 7 hours of Orthos. Time to fire up WoW! :D
