I got myself that asrock and 2500k and memory 2x4gb kingston blu.
My pc dont post. D6 error
The gpu in there is 8800gt.
Now - on my old p5n-e sli mobo it WAS working but recently it stopped to work with ez connector in standard position and ONLY worked with ez connector set to sli on that old asus board. Sometimes it required couple of resets to post. Sometimes it was working with full speed and sometimes it crawled. But it did worked.
Now, I also changed the thermal paste and dusted it off and still cant get it to post on that new pc
It is a terrible feeling not to able to even start new pc
I will get new gpu (other topic) but in only a week or two.
I am writing this message from my desire z which is my 2500k new pc right now
Any ideas or should I just throw that gpu away? Or maybe BAKE it?????
edit: UPDATE: the pc works when I changed to 6200 gpu so my 8800 is indeed dead.
Any chance of baking it?
