So my PC is down for a while, was in the living room on my HTPC watching youtube when suddenly I heard a noise not unlike someone shoving a screwdriver into a moving fan blade.

Checked my 90g reef tank thinking it was one of the many pumps on it to realize the sound was coming from my office, went in to find my case/desk/wall vibrating from my pump going absolutely ape shit.

Shut down, drained loop, opened up the pump to check for damage, nothing that I could see except a film on the inside that reminded me of graphite, ceramic bearing still in ok shape etc.

Put it back together, partially filled, turned it on, no change... :(

Hunted and hunted trying to find replacement impellers, apparently they are like hens teeth. I did track them down tho. I emailed the Laing rep in Florida (where I am) and asked about them, he said they do have impellers, and they are $53 each plus shipping

SO! I have a WTB thread up hoping to get a new one soon, this would be a perfect time to get my new case and re-do my loop, but the funds wont allow for it.

SO this is just a post saying my shit broke, if you have a spare D5 please PM me so I can buy it, if you need an impeller they're $53 + shipping, and I am a sad panda.

That sucks, D5 is a great pump though. Been using my current one for years and I love it, quiet, strong, and versatile.

yeah, I don't know the age on this one, it's been in my setup for over a year, but was purchased used.

First pump I've had go bad on me in about 14 years of watercooling
