D5 Again

My friend decided to get the D5 (and I am now contemplating doing so at some point myself, I hate my danner mag 3). In order for everything to fit he needs to somehow change the outlet so that it is at a 90 degree angle (aka pointint up) as opposed to how it is parralel. Does anyone have any suggestions on how one might do this? I imagine gluing a 90 degree elbow on there isnt the best idea in the world.
 
Correct my if I'm wrong, but the outlet is at a 90 degree angle to the inlet. It points straight up. Unless you are thinking of a different pump.
 
Yes it is at a 90 degree angle to the inlet .... I never even used the word inlet in my post =P. It is parralel to the plane of the pump.

I guess a better way of putting it is that we need the outlet to be parallel to the inlet (aka 90 degree turn)
 
I'm guessing it's not possible to remove/mod a hd cage to make the pump & hoses fit. You should be able to remove the barb and get a 90 to replace it.........I haven't had the need to change any of my barbs though.
 
your best bet is going to be one of those copper 90* elbows. You know, the ones that make the nice smooth bends. Then, you coudl cut the origional outlet off and epoxy the new elbow in place.

Or, you could get two 45*'s of the same style.
 
My HD cage currently contains 4x250gb hard drives ... thus the nature of my dillema, I need the outlet to go straight up to the CPU block becuase the pump is right below the block :) I just wasnt sure if epoxy, etc. would cut it .. thats all I wanted to know :)
 
if the pump is right below the block you should be fine

well it looks to me like youve got the water flowing in the opposite direction through your blocks then I am used to, I go from the pump outlet to the block to heatercore to pump inlet ...
 
i think you have your flow confused my friend
in my loop it goes from pump-cpu-gpu-rad-res-inlet of the pump
