farcry 1.3 has these large black areas where there are supposed to be shadows. also the lighter colors show extremely bright. my other games run ok, as do the 3dmarks.
i have tried;
clean install
lots of drivers
no fast write
fast write
vsync on + off
game settings from low to very high
diffterent size agp apertures
overclocking + no overclocking (of the video card)

game auto detects my stsrem as very high but sets advance settings all to low. how could i install this game in open gl? there seems to be a pull down menu for this in the video options but its greyed out on d3d.
any help appreciated. game worked fine with 9800 pro.
