Are the "D1 Stepping" P4 Northwood CPU's good or bad? I'm looking at a 2.6(SL6WH), 2.8(SL6WJ) & 3.0(SL6WK)??
Thanks for any help!!

get teh sl6wk

its a 30-cap P4, and the 30 cappers are rumored EE rejects, and know to be very good overclockers, espcially that particular one :)

When you say 30 capper is that how many caps are on the underside of the CPU??

yes, also keep an eye out for m0 stepping, they should have sl codes of sl6z3 and sl6z5

no, m0 are 30-cap too. m0 steppings are supposed to be extreme edition rejects. m0's are based on the galatin core and have slightly larger die's than regular p4's.

I'm very happy with my current D1 3.2 (3.9 to 4GHz). I also have an m0 2.4c (3.4+) and had an m0 2.8c (3.472).

The 3.2 just flat smokes the other ones I've had, period.
