d-link di-514 router issues

all of the computers connected to the di-514, which are all connected via ethernet, get knocked off of the internet at the same time at random time intervals, and i can't figure out why. each computer is running a different nic card (realtek for me, onboard nvidia for parents, toshiba in-laptop nic for dad, 3com for my k6-2) and the router will randomly disconnect and reconnect the internet. the dhcp server is set to renew each ip every week; that's the max amount of time it can be set to. turning off dhcp doesn't solve the problem. the router is vertical and gets adequate airflow. the stock firmware is the newest revision out there. any ideas?

Run without the router awhile and see if you still have the problem, if you don't, call D-Link's tech support or take it back if you still can.

Disable some of the logging features in the router. Had same basic problem.

Take it back, I had the same problem with that router at my girlfriends house and I could never fix it.
