Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have alot of wires on my osu that i dont use is it ok if I just cut them off ? is this safe if so where should I cut insiode the psu or right out side
Well I'm sure somebody will tell you that the best way to do it would be to open the PSU de-solder them right inside it.
However there's no reason you can't just chop them off wherever you want. Just make sure you put some tape or something over the ends so they can't touch eachother or ground out on the case (that would be a VERY BAD THING).
Cut away. It won't hurt anything. I suggest cutting inside the power supply, but that's just so that you don't have a bunch of short wires going to nothing sticking out of it. On my old power supply I cut off all the drive connectors, so that all I had left was the motherboard connector. I added a +12V wire and a +5V wire and did a custom job on it.
I'd cut the wires as well. I would cut the wires in my main rig to keep things a bit cleaner, but I anticipate upgrading the PSU sometime in the near future, and I want to retain its value for when I sell it (Antec 350w). As long as you tape off the ends, you'll be fine.
