What do you think?

Just registered with sapphire forums 2 days ago and was banned twice, not setting time zone- never seen such a bunch of aholes in my life. Finally found sapphire customer support phone # and they told me just to look at the closed/locked threads there and I would see why they are not affiliated with that forum.
Thats crazy.
How can they have nothing to do with their own support forum?

[pure speculation]
The A'hole(s) running the forum may have one over on senior management such that management cant get rid of them.
This wouldnt surprise me as the support forum is run by a c*nt with a lack of moral fibre.
Its hard to imagine a scenario where they cant get rid if an idiot employed in support or at least change his job and put someone else on the forum.
[/pure speculation]

Have you any more info on how Sapphire have disassociated themselves?

One should try his/her best to get the proper customer support and if diplomacy fails; just dump them (Sapphire) for awhile.

All sapphire has to do is remove all links from thier main site linking to the forums and just like that problem solved.

Simply claiming thier not affiliated yet linking to them as "tech support" is pretty weak by any standard.

told them what happened on the forums, they called me stupid and banned me. Nice support. ALLEN

is sapphire too busy to answer their paying customers? do they not care if they lose sales over this? wondering why they dont have a rep speak up....

Just thought I would add this. My 4870 1gb died recently. Once filing the RMA, I have to send my card in with a 15 dollar money order (who the fuck uses money orders?!?!) to pay for the handling and shipping of a new, or refurb?, POS product. Seriously; this is the worst company of all time. I've emailed tech and told them this would be the last Sapphire product I buy. Now I am looking for Sapphires customer support email. I'm gonna blast them when I do. Anyway; just thought I'd share.

I wrote a very firm and thorough email to ATI/AMD about the Quality of Service at Sapphire. I hope to hear back from them soon. If not; I won't even bother with a Sapphire phone call. I will call AMD direct. Seriously; their RMA form is a r/w word document. How unprofessional can this company get?!?!? That along with the fact that they take money orders are enough to make me wanna barf.

Good on you guys, there seems to be little else you can do to spur some action.

That thread was...wow.

Felt bad and sorry not only for LadyHawk, but the bashing of this forum and members also.

Luckily myself does business with the XFX company only.

Dude who responded was being a jerk and excessive use of rolling the eyes icon came off as annoying.

Not to mention the labels at the bottom, those were unnecessary and rude.

Don't see anything wrong to how or what LadyHawk responded there.

Jugsta: from what I remember Sapphire changed their RMA policy to contact the vendor within 2 years of purchase.

"Sapphire VGA products carry a 2 year warranty with all enquires carried out through your initial place of purchase. This can only be carried out by the original purchaser Please contact your Dealer/Reseller for Warranty / RMA service. They will require proof of purchase which includes the original invoice/documentation."

Which can be found here: http://www1.sapphiretech.com/us/support/warranty.php

Saves a lot of trouble dealing them directly if you purchased from Newegg or the like, not to mention the $15 tab.

Wow old thread!! I dont think they care too much for their customers since it doesnt look like anything has changed.

Nice... but I already sent it out :( I used a rebate as well (longest rebate ever - 6months) thus removing the UPC. Newegg surely wouldn't have taken back after that. Right? If you say wrong- I'll punch myself in the balls.

Ironically enough; I chose their 4870 because of the reportedly low temps in comparison to other 4870s. the Diagnostic LEDs identified the problem as a fatal thermal error. Sweet!

the money you save on the initial product has to come from somewhere, and for sapphire its their overseas support.

but yeah, way to do a dead thread revival.

Thats how I roll. I may be a [H] noob, but atleast I have some e-tiquette.
