I was getting quite a few comments on one of my other builds; I decided to post some pictures of my latest mini-itx build.

The goal of this build was to get the case to look like a solid block of wood. I built this from cherry with another 3 coats of Magnalac, then brushed with steel wool.

It's hard to tell, but there are brushed aluminum feet keeping this case from contacting the ground. It's much redder now that I've exposed it to sunlight for a few sessions.

I like it.

All it needs is a nice [H]ard|OCP carved into the front with some nice lighting. ;)

Looks good. Where do you exhaust air from?

The PSU is the only exhaust, but I have a 5" screen hole under the mobo/gpu as a passive intake. I haven't had problems since I cut the intake. I was contemplating working a 120mm exhaust into the top, right above the CPU, but haven't found the energy to take it on.

You could probably just cut some wide slits over the cpu area and it'd work great as a passive exhaust!

That is really slick! It really does look like a solid billet of wood! Nicely done. Some passive intakes wouldn't be a bad idea for the longevity of components within. :)
