Custom WC Box Plans *PICS*

Your pics are still not up. I built a external system a few months ago and it works pretty good. You can read about how I built mine HERE . It's a bit bigger than what you're planning on building, but I like alot of room to work..............
Here's a pic of the completed external water system:

Bio-Hazard, What kind of tube connect thingys are those that the tubes connect to the cases with and where can I get some for my project. Do they let you easily disconnect the tubes from the main PC case for transport?

Those are the ones that I'm using. They work very well and are super easy to use. When you disconnect them, you loose a few drops of water, but nothing serious.

The hosting I used to put them up is down, and the original images are not on this computer.

If I were building an external box, I would find a way to put a THERMOCHILL HE 120.3 RADIATOR in it, big radiator, up to 6 120mm fans in push pull arangement. The only way I can see to do it in your design is to either move the unit to the top of the case and put it across the top or make it a little taller and put it down a side. Probably worth some consideration though, its rated to dissipate 550 watts.

Thanks,
A friend and me worked on them with a program called SketchUp.

The main thing is if you can see in this pic I want my case to slide under that shelf and into the cubby so I can rescess it. If its any bigger than that it won't fit.

Nice job...on both the sketches and the external rig setup. I was going to do external but things have inadvertently changed. Now it's gone back to an internal setup. :D

Yeaha
Something about external calls to me.

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost for a alu shell like that, that can hold 100+ lbs and has one removable panel?

I am thinking 100 or so.

I figgure the cost for the cutouts for the fans and the VFD and the Window should cost next to nothing.

I can get sheets of aluminum for around $20 and the "L" bars go for less then $5 (I've forgetten). You'll probably need 5-6 sheets.

I am taking it to a metal shop, I want it to look really factory, but if I costs more than 100, and I can't get any sponsored ports, i am gonna DIY

i seen no reason for the intake fans, you could just use some holes covered in wiremesh or something.

Just have your radiator fans pull air in through the radiator from the outside of the case and make sure that you have a large enough opening for the air to exit the case also. I do have a extra case fan cooling my pump though, I don't reall think it was needed as the pump runs pretty cool, but I had a place for a fan so I installed one.............. :D

sdk: Gimme a PM sometime. I may be able to hook you up with some stuff for your project.

OMG SDK!!!, what program was that that you used to make what you plan on doing? I have been looking for something like that for a while now, can you help me in that part? BTW, I love the setup you have, what would you recommend(in terms of brand) to me? I was thinking Danger Den, or maybe swifttech or something. LMK :) , thx man
