I just got a widescreen laptop (16:10) that runs in native 1280x800. Now, I can set that resolution just fine, but Windows won't let me change to any lower 16:10 resoultion, such as 1024x640 or 800x500. They just aren't on the list in Display Properties. Instead, that list has stuff like 1024x768, which makes the screen all stretchey. Is there any way to put custom resolutions, like 1024x640, on that list?

In case it matters, my graphics card is a Mobility Radeon 9700 running the Catylist 4.8 drivers.

why would you need to change it? just leave it at its native res of 1280x800, it has a native res because it will look best at that particular res
