Ok, so I've had this Raidmax 868 case for a little under a year now and just recently added water cooling. Although I do like the mods that I made to it for looks, it's not the best setup for the water cooling. Right now, I've got radiator on the top outside the case. This allows air bubbles to form in the rad that I can't even see. I've looked at the new Q-pack case by..... Coolermaster, I think...... But anyway, I really like the layout and style of that case and all the room would make it extremely easy to rout wires and such. The only problem is that I'm definatly a DIY modder and would like to build something similiar to that. My plan is to use some 1/16" steal for the housing and add a plexi glass window on the side and probaly on top. I have the enitre thing designed out in 3D in autocad, It looks pretty sweet so far but I need a couple suggestions. Right now I've got my outside dimensions at 14"x14"x14". I could possibly try to make it a bit smaller, but the current size is to fit my radiator in like a custom box in the back corner.

But now my question..... This will be my first custom case that I have built, but my visions are great.... In cad I have everything dimensioned out and how it will fit together, but now the question is, "How to mount it." I thought about cutting up my Raidmax case, and scrapping it for the mobo tray and drive mounts. But then after looking at the design of my current case, it doesn't look like the trays will come apart too easily for my new arrangment. I would also prefer to keep this case just in case I happen to need it for somethin.... But anyway, how would you guys suggest I go about mounting my drives and mobo especially. With the Q-pack design it will be harder. Right now I have 2" gap on top of the mobo for wire routing and 4" in front of the mobo and have it attached to the bottom of the case by bending the 1/4" of the tray. I then have several pieces that connect the mobo tray to the other sides of the case. But the main problem is that there is no support on the backside, just becuase of the way the case is designed..... I really suck at describing things, but if any of you guys have autocad (Or at least a .DWG viewer)I will be more then happy to send you my drawings..... Or if you'd like i can take a screenshot of my drawings and post them.....
