Do any of the professional modders or mod shops do custom jobs for people? Anyone have an recommendations of anyone? I have a small acrylic job I need fabricated but don't have the time, space, or tools to do the job myself.

I have a nice little microATX mini-tower case that I like alot but the stock hard drive cage is worthless as tits on a boar hog. What I'd like to have is an acrylic cage fab'd for 4x3.5" drives with mounting for a 92mm fan which I can then bolt into the bottom of the case. I should have plenty of space and it'd look pretty sweet afterwards.

Thanks

I've done some custom work for people as well, but keep in mind the costs - it's far more expensive than you think for others to do the modding for you.

Most of the people that have asked for my help have had a max price they were willing to pay that was below the cost the equipment itself!

But you could go with someone like Qtip, who has all the tools and does this sort of stuff in his sleep.

Hooray for drunken christmas eve modding.....

j/k

edit: and jedi is right about what he said. :p

I understand that it will cost more for someone to do it than it would be for me to do it. However, I'm the type of person usually willing to pay the extra $$ for it. I really like this case I'm using and need to enhance it just a bit to make it perfect. I'm pretty picky when it comes to cases and stubborn! :p

I was thinking of something along the lines of short version of AC Ryan's BayColumn, flanged and tapped on the bottom so I could secure it through the bottom of the case.

i can do that for you, professionally on a 5 axis CNC machine. i can bond multiple pieces together as well, if youd like a full assembly. PM me if you would like to talk about it
