I am going to be creating a custom LED fixture so that i can light up the inside of my case. I will be using 5mm blue LEDS, however, i have never done something like this and am curious how to power the LEDS as well as how many i can use without sacrificing brightness. Also what are the brightness blue LEDS.

The leds will be put in a slim rectangular box that is the height of my case so that i can illuminate everything :). The wires and such will be contained within the box, with holes drilled for the LEDS to go in.

I could use some info on LEDs :)

THank you

I'm looking to do something just like this except I'm wanting to give ambient lighting to a picture painted on a canvas "floating" about an inch and a half from the wall.
