OK first off I realize there are a number of different styles out there but I wanted to make my own. I was wondering if someone had perhaps a templet or something so I can figure out how big to make the cut out. Also if you have made a custom grill any tips would be appreciated also pics are always welcome.

I am thinking of doing it for the side of the case in the window.
 
does anyone have a templete or a tracing of the outside of a fan grill 80mm please help a brother out
 
80mm fan is 80mm accross. Take a piece of sheet metal, make an 80mm square. then cut out from the square any which way you like as long as the 4 corners are connected in some form or fashion :D Make sure you look at all the pre-mod ones if you have something more complex in mind, youd be suprised what you find. you might also benefit from buying somehting like a crosshair grill and modding it (see project mars city in the worklogs). good luck!
