Cursor/selection problem

I just put together a new computer and having issues with the cursor moving to the right after being on the computer for maybe 30 minutes.

I'm not referring to the mouse cursor but when I select something, the selection moves to the right. It's like I'm holding down the right arrow key.

System
Processor: E6420
Keyboard: Micro$oft Digital Media Pro
Mouse: Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse
Operating System: Win XP
Monitor: Dell 2007wfp

Any ideas how to fix my problem?

This is gonna sound too obvious, but I will ask anyways. Did you try a different keyboard?

I only have one keyboard and roommate has a laptop he doesn't have a keyboard that I could use.

Well, go buy a cheapy then. I'd be willing to bet, 99% chance it's the keyboard.
