Howdy. I've been using a Logitech G7 wireless mouse for about a year and a half now with no problems. The other day, my cursor started freezing up randomly. It freezes up every 5-30 seconds and will last anywhere from 2-30 seconds. I thought it was my mouse dying on me but I just tried an old USB mouse I had lying around and it's doing the same thing. Obviously it's an issue with my computer but I have no idea what it could be

Has this happened to anyone else out there? Cheers.

(Oh, and It's not just a system freeze-up, because I can still use the computer normally with the keyboard while the mouse isn't responding).

After trying different USB ports and making sure that I had the most recent version of Logitech SetPoint, there was no change in my "mouse freezes" problem. I finally found a solution for my G7 freezing. I simply position the transmitter perpendicular to the mouse (instead of pointing at the mouse) and the G7 doesn't skip a beat.

I can duplicate the problem again by pointing the transmitter stick at the mouse!!

Hope this help others that seem to encounter this same problem. I think that it has to do with the transmitter radiation pattern.
