Hello all,

I'm starting to piece together my next build and looking to gather parts on sales, etc. Current rig in sig, and I'll be moving to at least a dual SLI or CF setup and maybe even Tri-SLI or CF as I plan on going 4K. My current system has great cooling and is very quiet, which I'm after with my new build, but it won't cut it for that kind of GPU configuration. Right now I'm running an RX 240 and MCR 220, but I imagine I'll have to upgrade to at least 2x360 (or equivalent) rads to meet the heat demand of the new system. I'd like to do all this on one pump and fit it inside my case, so what are my case options currently? So far I've considered:

Corsair 750D - with 360 up top, 280 up front, maybe a 140 in the back or bottom
Fractal Define R4 - 280 up front, whatever I can cram up top (may not cut it)

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Mr. K6

EDIT: Just realized I wasn't under water cooling when I posted this, mods please feel free to move, thanks

That 750 looks nice.

You should be able to fit two 420s in a Xigmatek Elysium. I use a 60mm thick 420 with fans in push/pull on the top and an 80mm thick 240 with fans in push/pull in the front. I could easily use a 360 if I weren't using the hdd cage. A 420 may fit up front, not sure. It may not be the best looking option but it works well.

Honestly, even with those two rads I couldn't really keep 7950 tri-fire at temps that I really liked, quietly. I really liked my Phoyba 1080. With the rad box its pretty cheap for what you're getting. I've been considering going that route again and using an air 540.

Should be able to fit everything inside. Lots of room. I personally havent WC'd mine, but have though about it and it is very spacious.

I have a corsair C70 case this its a amazing case seriously, and not so expensive, you can mount 280mm(or 240mm) on top, 280mm(or 240mm) on bottom, and 240mm in front.. My cousing have the same case with a 240mm in front, bottom and top, also a 120mm in rear.. work great..

I second this decision. With a little modding you can fit two 360 radiators in the case with tons of room to spare. I posted a loop routing advice thread with a couple pictures.

If you don't mind removing the optical bay you can achieve something like this.

NZXT H630 is the same price and can do it without modding.

H630 is a HUGE Ultra tower Case, and cost 170$.. C70 its a mid tower and cost 120$. C70 have better intake-Front Airflow and also 2x side panel... don't take me wrong i like the H630 but they are different segment cases, I think the C70 its great just being a mid tower case nor a Full tower or ultra tower case.. and for modding its well.. even greater..

Go with a Corsair 900D, Lots of room in it to do pretty much anything you want. I started a build in one but ended up mounting my build in my rack. Do a 480 top and bottom and a 360 in the front if you want. Lots of room for cooling.

Caselabs, Little Devil, or TJ07/TJ11. Lian Li if you're on a tighter budget. Plastic and steel cases are garbage, especially if you're planning on a high end wc 3 way sli build.

Wow, thanks for all the responses; I spent a good part of today looking through everything. I didn't put a budget because I don't really have one, I'll spend whatever I need to get what I want, being that I feel it's worth it.

That said, I've never really been a fan of Mountain Mods, Caselabs, Little Devil, etc. Previously and still now, none of their cases really strike me as "going the extra mile" considering the boutique image they're after, and certainly not for the prices they're asking.

I'm also not a fan of gigantic cases for the sake of being gigantic, if the space isn't used, get rid of it.

I'd have to say the 900D looks like the one for the time being, not huge, great reserved look, lots of features and "moddability," good stuff. I was thinking at least a thick 480 (XSPC RX 480) in the bottom and maybe up top too if I can squeeze it in. I'll have to plan more of it out but so far it seems to fit the bill.

Plastic and steel cases are actually better, steel is denser than aluminum and vibrates/resonates less, making a quieter build. I've never understood how marketing teams were able to twist this one. To each his own.

Thanks for all the responses, cheers!
