Not trying to be an ass here, but why do folks use wallpapers?

If I'm in front of my computer, I'm doing something. Even across several monitors. As such, I never even see the desktop. I don't launch anything from it, it's really just a repository of temp files.

I may see the desktop once every couple of weeks when I restart the system.

What am I missing?

Same reason people put up pictures and artwork on their walls at home. They don't actually stand there in front of it and look at it, but it's just something to fill and personalize an otherwise void space.

I also have alot running on all of my monitors but alot of the time I minimize it all when Im just working on 1 script or just surfing the web. Its nice to be surrounded by art
