Current best ~$50 sound card?

Hey, all. I am currently running a Audigy 2 ZS. I have been told by many that it just may be time to upgrade that. What should I get?

I only use a 2.1 speaker system and headphones. I do gaming and listen to music. Nothing too fancy needed really. Just looking for a worthwhile upgrade.

At 50 bucks, you're pretty much looking at used gear. Probably an X-Fi, or if you're lucky and can find someone willing to sell it cheap enough, some entry level CMI8788: Sondigo Inferno, Bluegears b-Enspirer, and I guess a Xonar DX/D1. Anything you can get new for $50 will likely be a sideways upgrade at best.
