From user reviews read, it's been said that the SUXXXX (SU27, 35, 94) CPUs are quite a bit better than the Atom. But how would say, a Core 2 Solo (SU3500) compare with an Atom 2core? So tempted on a Timeline, and Ion is still so far away.

AND YES HARHARHARRRR.

Core 2 absolutely rapes Atom in terms of performance per clock. No contest, the Core 2 is faster, even if the Atom is a dual-core and you're running multithreaded programs.

The SU2500's not exactly performance grade though, clocking in at 1.4GHz. Still the same verdict - Core 2 Solo @ 1.4GHz > Atom 330/ 2Core Atom?

They might not be performance-grade in terms of clock speed, but clock for clock they're still much, much faster than Atom.
