I've always thought Swiftech had great customer support, and here's a great example.
I bought the new Ci7 hold-down plate so I could use my Apogee GTX with my X58 board.
I got the deal from Performance.
Saturday I went to install the new plate and it was a bitch to get the plate over the waterblock, it was like the hold down was a fraction of a millimeter too small. I finally had to use Vice-grips to get the thing to seat correctly. I used surgical rubber over the vice-grip nose to try and not leave marks, but did any way.
To top it all off, the hex head screws to hold the whole thing together, barely fit back in the block without applying gi-normous downward force on the hex wrench.
I wrote Swiftech, just in case other people were having the same problems.
Today I got a nice email back from Gabe Raschon (the guy who owns the place and IS Swiftech) apologizing for the whole ordeal.
He's sending me a new hold down and screws.
Now, my block works fine and I wasn't in any way after Swiftech to pony up free stuff......I was just stating my facts.
I think it was a very nice gesture and not in any way necessary......that's why all my stuff is Swiftech.
Thanks for reading.
