I got the Mountain Mods U2-UFO 18 in. by 18 in. Aluminum case. Really nice case. Anyway this thing has room to mount dual power supplies. Since I am going to be setting up Sli with eventullay 2 GPUs, and Raid with Raptors and the 5-120mm fans, and 3-80mm fans. And God knows what else? How can I make dual PSUs work in this system? I figure I could get one good PS for SLI. However it would be nice to have an extra one since I have the room in the case. Any input is helpful. Rob

Redundant PSUs are 2 in the space of 1, not 2 discrete units. You could use the second mount to plug one if you need the extra for watercooling or whatever, but it's typically an either-or thing. My CM Stacker does the same thing, it's got one at the top and bottom and you pick one, the extra you can mount 2x80mm fans.

Unless you have a monster psu, a second one would be a good idea for that case. Doesn't it have like 6 120mm fan holes and 4 80mm? Not quite clear on how to get them to boot at the same time though.

have the second psu always running with some sort of switch running the black to green on the atx power cord then have a rheobus for all the fans/cooling and have switches for all the fan groups so it would be like turning on a jet :D

ps. its 2:30am and yes i'm a nerd:|

its easy to wire a psu on; just cross 2 pins. Just run a wire between the required pins on one power supply to those same pins on the other. Wallah; both will turn on at the same time. Can have one power supply doign cpu/case fans, a couple hard drives; and have the other doing the graphics cards; some hard drives; or what not. Woudl be kidna cool

(Hardwired like a the Coolermater Stacker does but without the added resistance)

what it takes to make a truely redundant PSU (shared bus)

my official recommendation
(and cheap insurance considering the investment) for such a monster config
(assuming more than 2 Raptors) otherwise a 510 would do, but that gives you a very bright upgrade path to PCI-E 150W cards
(you where pretty vague on the number of drives, the 510 is good to 10 w\ PCI-E 75W cards)
also those are 2 of the 3 certified Nvidia PSUs for SLi
