ok, here's my system
athlon xp 3200+barton
768mb of ram
ati x800xl
maxtor 150gb hdd
i have no idea if its a videocard isssue or memory issue, but here is the problem. sometimes when connecting on the server it gives me an eror: "cannot read memory..." that doesnt happen that ofen. pretty much every time i play either when i connect to the server or sometime during gameplay my textures screw up. ak and some of the pistols have blobs all over them, and in buy weapon menu all pictures are not showing right, that would continue for about 5-10 mins and then stops, anyone know how to resolve it?
all other games work perfect.
 
I have no problems with corrupted textures and the like, but i get that error message too sometimes during gameplay. I really think it has something to do with the game
 
looks like you are more pested with thoes graphic artifacts tho.. do you oc? (still think its the game)
 
I think it has something to do with a corrupted file, I would check out steam forums(ugh I know) or try reinstalling CS:S, hope that helps some
 
hmm....trying lowering ur fsb/ram speed a few mhz...happens to me when I have it too high....
 
I don't think this is a hardware issue, I've read it's a common problem. Try some CSS forums for a fix.
