Anyone remembering my previous posts, im putting together a mobile-ish networking cabinet, which contains a K7-700 fileserver, 24-port 10/100 managed switch, and a 200mW 15Dbi wifi bridge made by Tranzeo (damn thing was expensive).

Ive been using my 1.8Ghz (3000+ amd) windoze xp box so far, for file sharing. Windows folder-sharing makes me barf (never works right), and im also using a captive portal with the files to show whats avalible, not just a list of files.

I've been using apache for several years, mainly as an offline website browser (several gigs, many websites). Today I tried copying one large file, couldnt do more than 31Mbps. I could do 400Mbps using windows file sharing between computers.

I know samba would be the easiest and quickest option to go. But, Id still like a web page to be displayed with links to the files. All of the clients are windows-pc's, is this any way possible? This isnt anything very important or critical, just mainly an issue of time and paitience.
