What kinda setup is needed to run CS S when its out ? I ran D3 pretty darn good ahah (kinda choppy) but good with my set up. What should i expect from HL2 and CSS?

any wild guesses? (not too wild)

you'll run it fine...

HL2 isn't more of a graphic strain than D3

*correct me if im wrong*

you may even be able to run it at 1600x1200, 4xaa full details no problem. Whilst the style is awesome the technology is inferior to doom 3 and far cry. Mainly the textures - just look at the texture differences....

True. Doom3 is the most graphically intense game every made/released, obviously. :p

We might be seeing maxing out for CS: Source and HL2 on even the 9600XT...

i think im going to get a new heaksink and fan for mine and OC it when i t starts to gekinda "old"

With specs in sig (at stock speeds, CS:S doesn't like overclocked stuff evidently), I'm getting a steady 50-60 FPS with everything on "High" and 6xAA/4xAF.

At the LAN I went to, the monitors started screwing up when they went above 1024, so I just kept it at that and turned everything all the way up and put AA at 4x and AF at 8x and got 50-60 fps pretty steady with P4/9800XT.

nice! lol

looks like HL2 wont give many probs to the latest gen of cards
