I get this kinda crap all over dust, and on italy, but not on aztec. I've tried the omega drivers and the ATI drivers. I used driver cleaner when I switched between the 2.
It seems to have something to do with AA, I had that enabled for awhile, and purple crap was EVEYWHERE, thows pics are with AA disabled.

I've looked around for other people having this issue but I havent found much. Any ideas on how to fix it?
System specs are in my sig, but for thows with sigs disabled...here you go

Heat related? Vid card mem going bad?

Remember, it is still a new engine and has a few bugs left as well.
 
If you're overclocking, scale back some. Otherwise.... I'd fool with the AA/AF and resolution settings. Also if you're using AI, try scaling it back to off or low.
 
the card isn't overclocked and my AA is off with Trilinier filtering....it does get alot worse with AA turned up...
it ONLY happens on dust and italy...

i used to get similar problems when my 9600xt got real warm

my old case didnt have s*** for airflow

I should have added this before, but I do have an 80mm fan blowing direcly accross the 9800, from the side panel. I cut the hole there just for that purpose. So I doubt thats it.
 
Are you alt-tabbing? I use to get that purple glitch error when I alt-tabbed in and out of CS:S with my X800 XT PE.
 
I was getting this on my X800Pro to XT and was able to eliminate it by turning the AA/AF down a little. Do you have the 4.10s?
 
I doubt its heat related both cpus idle at 41C and around 43C when playing CS. Case temp is constant around 26C. My video card isn't OCd so its plenty cool with 7 fans in total. (3 intake 4 exaust)

The purple things go away on the hands and on about 95% of the textures if I set the textures to low. AA doesn't seem to make a diffrence on low, and I am useing the 4.10s

Heres a few more shots, this is some of the weirdist stuff I've ever seen.

This is dust on a diffrent day on high textures, notice the stairs are the problem this time not the wall like the first picture, aslo the floor in the tunnel was like Italy floor before.

I'm not sure what to make of it all, why is this just happening to me?

I had the exact same problem with my 9800pro on the CS:Source beta.

The non-beta release seems to have fixed the problem (or my driver update did it).

I've seen the problem only once for a second since running the full version of CS:Source.
 
It seems its the Cat 4.10s, I switched to the 4.9's and the problems go away....thing is my FPS suffer now.

I'll wait for the 4.11s and see what happens
 
The hot-fix is the 4.11's. They released those what 2 months ago? I have had the hot-fix that long and have no graphics or performance decrease at all. I suggest anyone that has and X800 of some sort to use those. :)
 
I got those problems with the 4.10s also. Get the Omega 2.5.90s and enjoy the speed boost and no artifacts. :D
 
I am also running my X800XT with the latest Omega 2.5.90 drivers and the ATI Silencer 4, overclocked to 533 / 1146 and I the card runs damm fast with zero artifacts nor lockups at all.
But it sounds like you have a driver problem alright.
