i recently received my crystalfontz lcd 20x4 in a single 5.25 bay ..
comes with an internal usb cable .. the problem is that the part that
connects to the motherboard has 4 wires with 4 connectors .. where
the usb connectors on my motherboard arelike 8 pins or something like
that .. im using a dfi expert .. anyone ?

Take a look at this

usb layout

look at example C this is the pin assignment of the usb connection on your board.

You can either use the left or the right column. S-Gnd will not be used. Just look on the cable that came with your lcd where to place each connector.

hmm u quoted example C .. but u said D .. so which one is the right one ? example D

It's c indeed. Just take a closer look at your USB connection on your motherboard. You can even see the pins in the manual of your DFI motherboard, just count the pins. I had the same question a year ago when I wanted to connect a device with a four pin USB connection, so I can imagine why you asked this question.

hmm in the pic u posted it shows missing 1 pin on the bottom right .. but on mine i think its top left or something .. i gotta check it out

Thats just because of the orientation of the board. He can't tell which way your board is pointing.

The diagram is correct however.
