Crystal Disk Info inconsistent execution?

I installed Crystal Disk Info about a week ago, and I was excited at the prospect of managing my collection of 10 HDDs and SDDs, some in use and the others used as backup and stored in anti-static plastic.

My system in Win 7 64 Pro, full specs below.

When I start this utility, sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the CrystalDisk window opens up after a few minutes, other times, it simply never opens. In the Task Manager, I can see the DiskInfo.exe*32 process, but no application. What am I doing wrong here?

I have an ********** Series dual-bay dock, which is a USB3 device, connected to a USB3 port on my system. Most of the time, Crystal Disk Info does not recognize a drive in either drive bay. Sometimes, it recognizes only the drive in the "Target" bay but never the "Source" bay. Again, am I doing something wrong here?

Is Crystal Disk Info affected by issues like plugging in a USB drive before or after starting up the utility? I've tried it both ways, with no apparent differences, but I'm a noob with this utility.

I'm really impressed with this utiilty and I really want it to work for me.:(
Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

Any other places where I could get some assistance with this issue?

Per Their FAQ:

CrystalDiskInfo supports only IDE (Parallel ATA) and Serial ATA disks connected internal ATA controller (Chipset included).
CrystalDiskInfo supports a part of USB-HDD.

USB support in CDI is entirely dependent on the USB/SATA bridge interface chosen by your dock manufacturer, some work and some don't and others are inconsistent at best.
