Hmm, it looked pretty good. I think I was missing a texture or something, the bushes looked like they were solid green, but it never really stayed still long enough for me to inspect it closely.

Also, it moves incredibly fast, so objects were popping in and out which kind of broke the feel to me.

there is a fix for it in the forum thread for your problem.

can you tell me what you did to install/run it?

Just extract straight into your crysis folder. It doesn't override anything, everything should be in the right place.

map name is widet2

EDIT: I looked through the thread, I'm not sure where it talks about my issue with the bushes. By the way, I looked at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycXDVFeBIjg and it looks like what I'm missing are the "flowers"... those appear as solid green objects to me. Also, this doesn't work completely with eyefinity... there's something wrong with the lighting / HDR, the entire screen gets extremely bright for no reason.

EDIT EDIT: My god I'm retarded, I thought 'plantfix' was some poorly translated German so I ignored it, but it's indeed ... a fix for the plants. Now they look like flower bushes, awesome. But you can see in the youtube link at around 2:15 (I don't know why he starts mid bench, 2:15 is the actual start of the bench), when you fly down the mountain the mountainside pops in as you go... and so do the foliage in the giant fields. That's the 'popping in' that I'm talking about.

On mine it looks like there's some sort of dithering effect on the mountains. Is that normal? :(

EDIT: I just took a closer look at the screenies. They have dithered mountains too so i guess it is. Still looks cool tho, are there any other maps like this?

I think the 'dithering' is a result of the SSAO (it's trying to shade everything...) The thread mentioned something about it, but since it's translated from German I couldn't really get the details.

Yeah, it's the SSAO giving it that look. I usually turn it off... it's not accurate enough to improve the IQ, it just makes it look sloppy IMO

That'd be really cool if that were the sequel to Oblivion (except without the paved concrete roads).

so i finally got a chance to run it.. these were my results on my GTX 260 216 core @ 602/1404/1152.. benchmarked the recommended 332 seconds from the forum post..

2010-02-18 03:03:16 - Crysis
Frames: 7221 - Time: 332000ms - Avg: 21.750 - Min: 0 - Max: 72

only complaint was the motion was so friggin fast and the low frame rate along with the stupid bluring effect in the game was making me motion sick which rarely happens..

I agree it was so damn fast i really couldnt see Details or anything. my AVG FPS on a single 5850 without playing with any settings and leaving them as is was around 25fps.

Its the SSAO settings he's included in his custom autoexec.cfg. Remove all the lines under "Shading" so Crysis can use its normal SSAO settings, and it'll be fixed.

To disable Flyby delete the moviedata.xml file in the level.pak archive.
Also you can change the TOD in the mission_mission0.xml
