Check that. It shows about 30%+ increase in performance, but that also depends on your configuration outside of the video cards as well. Also, resolution is very important because the gains are close to nothing @ 12x10, but as it goes up to 16x10 and 19x12 you will see greater gains.
 
Higher res such 1900x1200 and up scale more. Also, adding A second 4870 to ONE existing 4870 does not mean Crossfire X, just Crossfire.
