Crysis Screen shots..nothing else 56k no

The following screenshots were taken at 4000x3000 then scaled down to show how it can look with some nice AA. It ran great in the editor though with my desktop res at 1280x960 in WinXP 32-bit (DX9).

Even images of plain ol' rocks look amazing in this game...

Using "high" textures, even at 4000x3000 when you zoom in on characters the textures are crisp and every detail looks great.

The following were taken during actual gameplay with medium shadows and textures at 1024x768 - DX9.

I picked up a 3870 off Amazon recently for 80 clams. My point in asking was: Are the tweaks made by Helder Nvidia specific? or are they just general tweaks?

That card should run it okay. Punbx edited the helders config so it runs a little better, PM him for it.

Ive also posted pics here on numerous occassions which show evidence to the contrary. Here are some of them taken specifically during action sequences with lots of enemies on-screen and during shootouts, to prove a point to another member who argued that framerates dip into the single-digits in those scenarios. BS on him, and BS to you.

You are the quintessential type of misinformed person.
Passing your opinion off as a absolute fact in light of contradictory evidence, and thus perpetuating the performance myths surrounding Crysis.

That's odd.
Your rig is almost 100% identical to mine. And yet you yourself don't know how crappily Crysis plays. I barely get 30 FPS @ 1920x1200 on HIGH. And when action heats up it drops to 20 if not less for a split second. And yet in the benchmark the review site you referred to used, I get 40-50 FPS average. I know that I am getting lower performance than advertised, but the benchmark doesn't tell you what ingame performance is like, especially in combat.

Some from the map Fear. Can't finish it, it keeps crashing at the end of the level, but it is one of the best looking maps I've played yet.
