Crysis Non-Subscribers Beta at Fileplanet.

Unoptimized really, tried it and it was really fun but the code still needs a lot of optimizing thats for sure. :)
 
Hmmm can't connect to any servers. I see the list of servers but when I try to connect it just sits there "connecting". I was in the in-game chat and other peeps having the same problem. Anyone here have that issue?

(my other online FPS games working fine...)
 
I'm getting the same issue, can't connect to any servers.

I can't create a game of my own either, option is grayed out. Fk, I just want to see how it runs :mad:

Make sure you unistall the previous client then install the new one. I had the same thing as I figured it would do it by itself.

This client ends with an eight, the older client ends with a three.

This is the first client I've downloaded. I'm not a paying member of FP. It's a fresh install.

Yeah I checked that, too. Some servers ARE running old clients. I got to the level loading screen where it shows the screen shot of Shore and the level even loaded to 100% but after several seconds it just brings me back to the game server screen with the "you got disconnected" error. After that I couldn't even get back to the level load screen on any server I tried running the same version.

Poo, I say.

if so, where the heck is the newer client located? I got this version directly from the FP beta page.

edit: I never get a connection or loading screen. I'll go take some more pics.
 
I'm talking about the numbers in the bottom right corner. (1.1.1.5598)

Check to see if you are trying to connect to the servers who have the same client as you.
 
No I don't get that but I get this:




That doesn't look good... It's a constant stream of that same error over and over again.
 
Looking in the chat section, there are a ton of people with the same issues. Guess i'll just fire it up tomorrow and try. But, i would like to know if there is any way to make a local server just so I can run around and check out base performance?
 
They fubared my killernic AGAIN! Christ how hard is it to have one on a test machine and verify it works with having to fiddle around "trying" to get it working /sigh end rant.
 
i sat at a pc all day yeaterday and never saw this thread!!! day late, key short.......
 
I can't get the game to even install, and I'm not in the mood to try and figure out what's wrong, so if someone wants my key, PM me. First one gets the key..
 
Pile o junk. Uninstalled. It never worked. Waste of 4 hours of my life. :mad:

Here's hoping the demo runs for me.
 
For some strange reason, this is what happens when I try to enable AA either in drivers or in the game menu...Anyone else experience this?

Averaging about 30-35 FPS or so on high outside... 45-50 indoors... Still needs some optimization though.
 
Umm your under a NDA your not suppose to post anything pertaining to the beta other than your in it.

Yeah it seems to happen with the latest build and anti-aliasing. Known issue. Don't use the AA it still isn't working.

thats a good point.

also, the beta runs about 10fps faster in XP compared to vista for me. also, based on the beta i think smaller maps would be more fun. even with a full 32v32 server i barely run into people. in beta 2 i was able to change config to enable "very high", but when i do the same thing in beta 3 "very high" is still grayed out. the good news is the rare times i actually connect to a server, loading up only takes about 30 seconds. this is about the beta which im in.
 
I had connecting to server problems too last, I rebooter my PC and miraculously everything worked perfectly... this games brings me and my pc to our knees.
 
Game runs like shit and looks like shit. Updated latest graphic drivers - every other game runs fine. I get all sorts of distorted graphics and glitches that make the game unplayable.

Besides that, it's almost impossible to connect to a server.

Total waste of time.

Next person to private message me with "I R Lern Crysis! HALP!" gets my beta key.

is anyone having problems connecting to servers?? i cant seen to connect to any of the. i have no firewall on so i have no idea what is blocking me.

Specs? I seem to recall SLI 7900GTs or something but I don't really remember. Is it on medium? The shots look really nice...
 
Same here, would love to try out this beta. Missed the key hand out due to being at school :mad:

XFX 7950GT 512 Extreme SLi & Dual Opteron X2 290's. All settings on high @ 1680 x 1050 no AA. For the people who have the horsepower to run the game, the game engine is truly nice. I'm not understanding those who say it looks & plays like crap. With further optimization, it will be gorgeous.
