So I went to grab a 64GB from the newegg mailer and noticed the packaging was completely different on the Crucial SSD. The model number has a 2 at the end also. But looking at the crucial site they don't mention anything new about it, but they do show a new badge on the drive.

Anyone know if these are v2 and what changed if anything?

my understanding is that Crucial makes 2 sizes of 2.5" M4 drives

for example if yours is
CT064M4SSD2 (64GB) it would be the one with 9.5mm height

CT064M4SSD1 (64GB) would be 7mm in height

the packaging has been different for a while. My 128gb came with the new style packaging, but the old style drive sticker.
the drive is exactly the same as the ones that came with the old style packaging.

I have several with new packaging, it's a small clamshell style box instead of the traditional box they used to come with.
